In case it isn't self-explanatory enough yet, the idea is that every week Forrest will select one or more people/objects/institutions/whatever that, for one reason or another, deserve a "thumbs up" or a "thumbs down". Not an original concept, perhaps, but certainly one for which there is an adequate supply of material. Nevertheless, Forrest reserves the right to simply rant about "those damn kids these days", in case of extreme drunkenness.
