Plants, gotta have loadsa plants. They filter the air, make the place look pretty and smell nice. I'm thinking about putting in boxes of herbs but the might be too high-maintenance so maybe just hearty stuff like cacti and vines. Hey, maybe we could install an automated watering system! The herbs idea really appeals to me because a) fresh herbs are expensive as hell and b) they'd smell grrrreat! It's just a matter of weather or not we'd have enough plants to have them on display but still harvest enough for cooking, maybe we could setup a hydro operation in the basement. Dammit, all my cool plans rely on having a huge space and I just know that's not going to happen. In an ideal world I'd have a double basement with loads of freezers and a prep area and a hydroponic growing operation... Maybe I should just setup shop in a tropical setting where I could grow stuff outside year-round. I'm growing basil in my bedroom right now so hopfully those plants will still be around in 5 or 10 years... jeez that's a long way off, let's say 5 years.
